I am promoting a folk concert in Perry. Pat Wictor, a Brooklynite with a national reputation as an artist, is a great guitar player, a strong singer, a fine songwriter and a nice fellow. I consider him one of the brightest lights in today’s folk music scene. This is going to be a great afternoon! I hope you can make it. To learn more about Pat visit his site at http://patwictor.com
I played rock music in bands and folk music in coffeehouses in the early 1970’s. The responsibilities of being a husband, father and school teacher took me away from that for more than 30 years. My son Andrew and I began playing music together in 2007. We played more than 250 shows in clubs, coffeehouses and festivals around western NY, opening for national acts in Buffalo, Rochester and the Southern Tier. Andrew has recently moved away to take care of some unfinished business at the University of Cincinnati. Now, I am playing alone. It is a great joy to get this music back in my life in my fifties. I look forward to sharing the acoustic blues, jazz, folk, old country and spirituals that I love with the friends who follow my music and the people I meet.
